Tiffany Lamp - Old Is Gold
Tiffany lamp came into the spotlight almost a century ago because they were built by hand by outstanding crafters. They appeared pretty for their figures.This was the time before commodities volume evolved by simple machines came in the market. Intricately contrived and cautiously crafted, the lamps had a differentiating cast on them. Though the lamps go by the name of Louis Comfort Tiffany, the Tiffany lamp was in reality fashioned by Clara Driscoll who was the primary architect for evolving these leaded glass lamps with fanciful figure in them.
The Tiffany lamp is a component of the Nouveau Movement and has a mixture of glass shadows. What is exquisitely glorious is the stained leaded glass lamp.It is articulated that the wife of an industrialist –Meyer Cohen, asked him to position a stained glass in the window of the kitchen so that the vintage cars parked in the driveway of their neighbor cannot be seen. There were no designs to manufacture articles prepared of stained glass on a large scale and during earlier points, it stayed as a pursuit. Later however, the company- Mayed Tiffany came to be the leading producer of Tiffany lamp and assorted types of decorative lighting.
Transition to flowers, flowered cones, flowered globe lamps, asymmetrical lower and upper border lamps, geometric pattern and LCT lamps are the seven families of Tiffany lamps.The Irregular Lower and Upper Border lamps simulate a tree, a shrub, or a tree branch. This is finished by an openwork crown edge formed on the lamps. The conventional class is established on conventional patterns like squares, rectangles, ovals, or triangles. The Transition to Flowers group is spread into the Globe and Flowered Cone designs. Floral or some different natural patterns like dragonflies, butterflies, peacock feathers or different flowers are prominent in these patterns. These two branches disagree just in cast. One is patterned after a globe and the other after a cone.
Lamps are created utilizing the Copper Foil method and oftentimes a great part of cardboard is employed to make the patterns presented by the designer.The shape piece is then noted by publishing the glass color and a typical number. The glass is then settled over the pattern and a tracing built on the glass. The bits are then cut down and their exact shape made by grating. The bits are then cleaned and copper foil solution implemented to the edges to enable the pieces to stick securely. After the pieces are met and all boundaries firmly bonded, the boundaries are soldered for strength. Before the lamps go out of the assembly line, they are made clean for a bright and pleasing visual aspect.

where can i get stained glass painting designs on the net ?
i want the designs for free . i have already searched google and yahoo wid various searches such as "clip art+ birds" "clip art + flowers" "stained glass painting patterns" "stained glass painting designs" and various others .. please suggest some site where i can get some designs which have flowers or birds .. even any oder design will do but preferably flowers and second choice wud be birds like peacock .. even looking mirror designs wud do .. plz suggest some sites .. plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ..
