Choose the Perfect Crystal Chandelier to Ensure Quality and Function
Any house decorated with a crystal chandelier is without a doubt a style residence. This light fixture is the paragon of classic taste and exquisite style that can fit any home. They magnificently dangle from the ceiling like a beautiful medallion on a blank canvas, providing elegant ambience throughout the room. But with the number of designs to choose from when shopping for a chandelier, it’s easy to get lost and confused. Fortunately, here are some things that you must consider in order to guarantee a top-quality and fitting piece for your room.
Size and Cord Length
Like furniture shopping, you can determine the size of the crystal chandelier by getting the right measurements of your room. Larger and spacious rooms go great with large pieces. Small spaces will likewise look good with a considerably large chandelier. You must, however, make sure that the bulk of the piece will not give a terrible imposing effect. As an alternative, you can choose a piece that is medium-sized, just enough to create a focal point without being overly ubiquitous.
The ceiling height is also important. This can be easily answered through the right cord length. Although you can always ask for an adjustable cord length, it may not be visually appealing to have excess cord freely hanging along with the chandelier. A great way to ensure the right length is to determine the ceiling height. If it’s significantly high, choosing a lengthier cord may be good to mask the bare space above.

Another consideration when buying the crystal chandelier is, of course, the type of crystals you want. This will definitely dictate your shopping budget. There is a wide variety of crystals available and each is available in diverse price ranges. For instance, if you're looking for premier crystals, you can surely find those with Swarovski and Murano.
Luminosity
The number of light bulbs is another consideration. If you're planning to make the chandelier just an accessory and not the main light source, you can choose a piece with fewer light bulbs. Aside from being a great focal point for any room, this type of chandelier is also easy to maintain.
But you must be careful not to hide your crystals in obscurity. The great thing about a crystal chandelier is that its crystals play a major part in the luminosity. High-quality crystals can provide greater luminosity and overall lighting effect if more lights pass through them. An excellent way to determine the number of bulbs you need is to consider the room you're decorating and see if there are other light sources installed. If so, you can opt to choose a piece with slightly fewer bulbs.
